Boating

Though many may not associate Alaska with extensive water sport activities, we in the Delta area take great pleasure in our abundant natural resources. Most of our visitors are aware of the typical winter time water activities but many may not be aware of our summer fun!  Several local area parks offer water activities:

• Quartz Lake State Recreation Area

• Lost Lake State Recreation Area

• Tanana River Bridge Boat Launch

• Clearwater Lake Boat Launch

• Clearwater River Campground and Boat Launch

• Goodpasture River Access

• Coal Mine Lakes near Donnelly Dome

These areas offer a variety of water sports to include:

• Boating - sailing, motor and row

• Fishing - fly and spinning rig

• Water Skiing

• Wake Boarding

• Personal Water Craft
